I have had a fun week, this week. Actually nothing to do with podcasting at all. Well, maybe a bit! The highlight has been the launch of an online training course that I have developed for VAClassroom.com based on my experience of video and audio editing. Yes – the Multimedia Editing online training course has been launched. Yippee!
Multimedia Editing Online Training Course
It is just over 5 hours of video instruction, based on the practical skills that are very typically in demand from our clients. Or from you.
You know the sort of thing… sorting out a Facebook Live so its audio quality and visual ‘look’ is better, adding url’s and intros, and final call to action or further information slides. Adding comments and urls to the videos. Editing a Zoom, or YouTUbe Live webinar. Editing a fairly ropey podcast audio recording and trying to work miracles. That sort of thing.
It is split over 12 modules, with several videos per module, information, advice, tips and live software demos. Videos are in ‘bite sized’ pieces, typically less than 20 minutes long. Half of them are about Audio editing. Half of them are about Video editing. If you want to learn practical audio editing skills so you can do some DIY on your podcast then these are the skills you need. These are the skills I use on my own podcast, as well as with clients’ podcasts. Likewise if you want to learn how to tidy up your own webinars, zoom recordings and FB live videos, then some video editing skills are in order.
And if you are reading this to learn more about me, then you can relax knowing that I have the practical skills to personally take care of your podcast. I deal personally with my clients. You are not just passed around within a large team of outsourced helpers. That is not my business model or my way of doing things!
I Also Create Online Courses
Did you know I create and deliver training courses too?I don’t ‘just’ provide podcast services. I wear a number of digital hats.
You might not know that in my past corporate life I developed and delivered ‘in person’ technical training courses, and mentored learners too. In fact, I created and then managed the training department for the last company that I worked for, Strategic Systems Solutions. Creating and delivering relevant training was a key enabler of company growth. The company was sold to CapGemini many moons ago.
Now my working life is predominately ‘virtual’ ‘online’ ‘digital’ then I enjoy being able to provide similar services and support globally. I don’t have to commute to London. Or go anywhere. I do it from my home office here on the East Yorkshire coast.
Don’t you just LOVE the internet ???
How Can I Help You?
Anyway, I realised that I hadn’t shared very much about other ways in which I help and support clients.
The work I do with VAClassroom.com is a great example of how my previous corporate, professional skills and experience are also very relevant to my online, digital business. I can develop and deliver training and provide mentoring, globally, from East Yorkshire. It is work that I love doing, and it feels very satisfying to do it.
In addition to answering questions, providing advice and ways forward to solve problems, within the active private Facebook group for VAClassroom students, I also provide a personal 1-2-1 mentoring service for VAClassroom students. The steady stream of questions and challenges makes very interesting days!
Do you need some digital technology & online marketing mentoring to help you better adapt and exploit the internet and technology to grow your business?
Do you want to launch online training courses and mentoring to your clients, to expand your business but don’t know where to start?
Why not drop me an email info @ podcastprogress.com and let’s have a chat how I can help you get your head round all this stuff and move forward. Or of course I would love to connect with you on LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/susanweeks/
The Facebook Live Video Recording Of Our Launch Chat
And talking of Facebook Live videos… here is the video from the Facebook live I took part in with Craig Cannings, Founder of VAClassroom.com.
We had some tech challenges with the quality of the video recording in some parts but we had a good chat about the multimedia editing online training course and the practical skills and services it can be applied to.
So now you know I also provide services outside of podcasting… Maybe I can help you deliver online training, in the same way I help VAClassroom?
Let’s have a chat!
